Since 1981
ORIGINS
In 1981, Decent Tailor opened its doors in Ghatlodiya with a single cutting table and a simple promise: clothing made properly, for the person who would wear it. Four decades later, the table is busier — the promise is unchanged.
THE HANDS
Our masters learned the craft the only way it can be learned — beside someone better, for years. Pattern-making, hand-finishing, the judgment of drape and cloth: skills passed down through generations, kept sharp by daily practice.
THE STANDARD
"Decent" is a high bar in our workshop. It means a garment leaves only when it would make us proud at our own family's wedding — pressed, finished, and fitted to the person, not the mannequin.
HOW IT WORKS
Consultation
Your occasion, style and budget — over chai, no obligation.
Fabric Selection
Hundreds of bolts in-house; we narrow them to the right three.
Measurement
A complete set of measurements, taken by a master and kept on file.
Fittings
One to three fittings depending on the garment — until it is right.
Delivery
Pressed, finished and ready — usually within 5–14 days.
Precision
Measured twice, cut once. Every pattern is drafted fresh for every client.
Patience
Nothing leaves the workshop hurried. The schedule serves the garment, not the other way around.
Personal
We remember your measurements, your preferences, your family. That is the point.
